Summers resigned from his post at Harvard last year after a lengthy spat with faculty that began when he suggested women may not have the same natural abilities as men in some fields.

Another meet and another big day for head coach Richard Sybesma's swimming & diving teams came Friday.The men's and women's teams swept Air Force by scores of 131-112 on the men's side and 127-102 for the women.

The men's team rolled behind strong outings from seniors Scott McCracken and Jonathon Berrettini, with first-place finishes in the 50-freestyle, 100-freestyle and 200-backstroke events.

Freshmen Nikki Pappas and Jessica Miles would help pace the women with wins in the 50-freestyle, 100-freestyle and 200-freestyle events.

Beating almost 6,000 schools and more than 1 million professors, TCU secured sixth place for having the highest-rated professors in the nation on RateMyProfessors.com, the largest professor-rating Web site."It is certainly a testament to what great professors you have at TCU, and how much students value them and think of them," said mtvU General Manager Stephen Friedman. MtvU bought RateMyProfessors.com in January.

The post positions for the 2007-08 women's basketball team are loaded with experience heading into this season, the head coach said.Head coach Jeff Mittie said veterans and freshmen will help at both positions.

Mittie said he has found a group of four players - senior Jenna Lohse, juniors Micaela Younger and Lauren Roberts and freshman Micah Garoutte to play center. Garoutte and Roberts are new additions to the squad for this season's campaign.

The School for Classical and Contemporary Dance is presenting its fall concert Friday through Sunday in Ed Landreth Auditorium.Elizabeth Gillaspy, associate professor of ballet, said the dance department plans a fully produced concert every semester that is choreographed by faculty and guest artists.

"It is a concert of five different works," Gillaspy said. "They are all very different and present a wide range of dance styles and techniques."

Thaddaeus Williams had a dream.At 5 feet 11 inches and 280 pounds, Williams, an 18-year-old freshman from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, had enrolled in Hartnell College in Salinas, Calif., with plans of extending his football career.

"When he got there, his personality stood out," said Matt Collins, Hartnell's head football coach. "Just a real happy person, full of energy."

This is where it gets good: After his two years at Hartnell, he wanted to put on the purple and white.
