Senior biology major Bakari Samin said Rate My Professors is a great way to get a heads up on type of professors and types of classes for which students are going to sign up.

Sophomore business major Heidi Nguyen said Rate My Professors is her primary resource for researching professors.

Isuru Perera, a junior actuarial mathematics major, said RateMyProfessors.com is useful since he has had some phenomenal professors.

There are several quiet zones on the west side of Mary Couts Burnett library. Dani Black, freshman biology major and Meg Cooksey, sophomore neuroscience major study in the quiet zone of the first floor.

From left to right, Madison Deves, sophomore business major and Laura Meng, sophomore business major prefer studying in the front section of the west entry. Both students said this area becomes quiet since everyone goes to the newly renovated area of the library.

There are two study areas for graduate students on the third floor. Window desktop computers are available at the computer lab in the graduate reading room.

Casey Cunningham, senior political science prefers using Mac desktop to edit a short film because it is powerful and it has compatible software for video editing.

Junior supply chain major, Hannie Tran enjoys the study space of the Information Commons computer lab. She said the lights as well as the library environment help her focus on schoolwork.

The conversational and quiet sections of the west entry opens from 7a.m. to 1:30a.m. Sunday through Friday. The newly renovated area of the library is open 24 hours. The entire library closes at 8p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

If students enter the library from the west entry, this is the right wing of Information Commons computer lab. Both Window and Mac desktop computers will also be available.

All services and checkouts including headphones, Window and Mac laptops that used to be on the west takes places on the east side.

Dean of library, June Koelker said more Mac desktops are added to fulfill students' needs.
