Strong political bipartisanship obstructs exchange of ideas

Strong political bipartisanship obstructs exchange of ideas

The Dallas Cowboys are my team. There's just no other way around it. It's my favorite team and has been so ever since I was a little boy watching the games on my father's lap. I irrationally love and root for the Cowboys, even though I've never met any of the players, coaches or members of the organization. Every season, I dream of the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl, no matter how distant those odds are, and defend every player on the team, even though I have no personal connection to them.

Official: Minority students make up 20 percent of the student body for last three incoming classes

Published Oct 7, 2010

Though the percentage of minority students in incoming classes has stayed the same for the past three years, there are still more minority students coming to the university because of the increase of the overall size of freshman classes, the dean of admissions said.

Ray Brown, dean of admissions, said the increase in total minority students does not show in the overall percentage because the overall class size is growing as well. Minority students have made up 20 percent of the student body for last three incoming classes.

The Cowboys are without freshman linebacker Ruben Narcisse, who died in a tragic car accident earlier this season. Wyoming head coach Dave Christensen said the Cowboys are planning to wear a helmet decal with Narcisse's initials for the remainder of the season.

TCU should have little trouble against Wyoming

Published Oct 6, 2010

Wyoming won their second game of the season against Toledo 20-15 last weekend. The Cowboys will face a much tougher test against the No. 5 Horned Frogs. TCU remains ranked fifth for a second week and is competing with Boise State in the rankings. Boise State was passed by Oregon in this week's polls. Wyoming offers a direct comparison between TCU and Boise State since the Broncos throttled Wyoming 51-6 September 18. TCU must use this game to gear up for tougher games on this schedule such as Air Force and Utah.
